About us
We both moved to Canada not knowing what we didn't know. That gap — between what this country actually is and what people say — is why Make That Change was created.
We built it for newcomers. But somewhere along the way, Canadians who'd been here their whole lives started showing up too, asking the same questions, just from a different angle. So we embarked on a "Decoding Canada" mission for all.

I like to build things. Products, tools, media — whatever it takes to help us understand the world we're living in to live a better life.
Having moved to Canada in 2008, like many newcomers, I had to reverse-engineer this new society from scratch — and that experience changed everything for me, leading me into the business and technology world.
Over the past 16 years I've launched 20+ software platforms across some of Canada's most innovative tech companies, using data science and machine learning before either was a buzzword. I led my first team at 21, climbed fast in industries where women rarely did, and eventually started mentoring others stepping on a career path similar to mine. Working alongside the best STEM talent, I've learned that solving complex problems starts with actually understanding them — that's the instinct behind every video we make.
I love to hike, climb mountains, keep up with the stock market and watch nerdy documentaries.
Why we started Make That Change
What began as a resource for newcomers navigating Canada eventually grew into something bigger. A place to explore the questions that affect all of us, but rarely gets explained well.
We chose the name "Make That Change" as an inspirational call to action for everyone who's brave enough to dare. This is also a line from one of Anna's favourite songs, "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson. 💛
